Our Avocet couriers travel weekly throughout Whatcom and nearby counties performing routine sample pickups for clients. Though most of our stops are to private business locations, Avocet does have public sample drop boxes on Whidbey Island. Every Wednesday (unless otherwise posted on the drop box) our couriers stop at W & B Pump in Freeland, Island County Health Department in Coupeville, and the Chamber of Commerce building in Oak Harbor.

If you would like for an Avocet courier to pick up your sample at any of these locations on Whidbey Island, note the location pickup times and addresses below. Sample containers as well as instructions for collection are found inside the Avocet cooler in which you will be leaving your sample for analysis. Please be sure to have drawn your sample within the 24 hours preceding the scheduled pickup time to ensure that our laboratory will receive your sample within its proper holding time.

Wednesdays, 1:00 p.m. B & W Pump Company, 18205 State Route 525 #4, Freeland, WA (look for a gravel driveway on the south side of the Texaco Station)

Wednesdays, 1:30 p.m. Island County Health Department, 6th and Main Streets, Coupeville, WA (located inside the Environmental Health office)

Wednesdays, 2:00 p.m. Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce, 3037 N. Goldie Rd., Oak Harbor, WA

Skagit County clients routinely arrange a rendezvous, usually on Wednesday afternoons approximately 3:00 p.m., when we are headed back north.
