Coliform Bacteria refers to a large group of bacteria common in the environment but not necessarily harmful, however their presence indicates a problem with the water supply and that other disease causing bacteria and viruses may also be present. E.Coli Bacteria comes from the gut of warm blooded animals and indicates there is dangerous fecal matter in the water.
